Essay:

Loadshedding is a common problem of Pakistan, nowadays. Whether it is summer or winter, load-shedding seems to prevail the darkness in both day and night. It has no proper timing of its presence. Even the present government looks failed in solving this major issue of Pakistan.
There are numerous factors behind this scourage of darkness. The first one is quite obvious, our water resources are running down rapidly and there is no proper management to secure these reserves. Moreover, corruption in WAPDA adds fuel to fire (jalti par aag chirkna). Secondly, as discussed in the above lines, we are running out of the water as our dams are going to dry. Therefore the production of electricity is affected by the shortage of energy resources. Moreover, the ever-increasing population of Pakistan is also increasing pressures on our electrical resources. It looks quite difficult to add new subscribers to the flow of light and progress.
Loadshedding causes much damage to many sensitive electrical appliances i.e. televisions, computers, microwave ovens etc. Many transformers also breathe their last due to this off and on practice. When it rains, it makes things even worst as many high tension lines drop into the rainwater and it takes many lives of people. Moreover, foreign investors hesitate to invest in such countries as they see no productive scope of their business. Thirdly, the industrial area produces less than their actual capacity. It leads might lead them to bankruptcy. Students are also affected by load-shedding. They cannot prepare their presentations in time and it interrupts their examination schedules. The result comes in failure and consequently, people march on roads for a fix. Moreover, many criminals take advantage of the darkness and they do not hesitate to commit any bad practice like kidnapping and dacoity. As a result, the crime rate increases a lot.
Such a harmful situation demands permanent solutions. First of all, we should increase our energy resources by building new dams like Bhasha Dayameer. Secondly, the government should eradicate corruption in WAPDA instead of making airy announcements. Thirdly, proper management should be established to secure our present energy resources. Fourthly, the government should take serious actions against unauthorized connections of electricity. As such people are eating into the vitals of our energy resources. Fifthly, people should use energy-saving types of equipment to save the usage of extra energy. Sixthly, we should resort to new resources of energy like solar, wind and atomic energy for a better energy bank.
Loadshedding is making much loss in the economy of Pakistan. Therefore, it has become necessary to eradicate load-shedding from Pakistan in order to restore our economy.
