Subject: Evil of Street-begging

    Sir,

With the help of your esteemed newspaper, I want to draw the attention of common people and concerned authorities to the evil of street-begging. Beggars can be seen everywhere around us. Whether it is a traffic signal, school, hospital, any Government office or railway station, beggars are making their day by looting the innocent citizens. Most of the beggars are professional. They follow the other people and even they reach their houses and demand for money. Moreover, a majority of beggars are healthy and can do a better work instead of begging.

Some beggars are blind or are infected with some serious disease. Therefore, they have become a major factor of spreading diseases among the people.

Now the time has come for the Government to check this social evil down. First of all, Government should stabilize its economic condition. If a country has a sound economy, then the rate of unemployment will go down and the beggary will end up by itself. Then it should take drastic )تخس )steps against the culprits who are involved in the promotion of begging profession. Thirdly, Government should aid the healthy beggars morally and financially so they may work on their own. Fourthly and most important step against begging is that infected beggars should be treated well without any cost. Because they also have the right to live a positive and healthy life.

I hope that you will response positively on my lines.
Yours faithfully,
Asad Imran
